Why a $10 deposit?
When I say yes to you, I say no to others. To make sure your time and mine is protected, I ask for the deposit. Additionally, all of my bags are $10 or more, so only asking for $10 and not 50% of the bag's cost allows you to change your mind about what you want all the way up until I email you!
What sort of turnaround time am I looking at?
Typically, I'm able to complete a single custom order within a week. That's when I'm working on other items for the shop at the same time. So when it's your turn, you can generally expect 1-2 weeks from our conversation/your payment to your shipping notification. Things that would increase time include hard-to-find fabric, multiple items, or life events that preclude me from being able to hole up in my sewing room. If I have any issues or expect your timeline to exceed the 1-2 weeks, I will reach out. If I believe your order will take more than 2 weeks, I am happy to give you the option of a full refund, including your $10 deposit.
Am I limited to choosing from the bags you already sell online?
Not necessarily! Though choosing from what I already make will lessen your wait time considerably. I've practiced all of those patterns and feel confident in making them. With something new, I usually need to practice to make sure everything comes out right! When I reach out to you for your order, let me know if you're looking for something different and we can work together to see if that's possible.
What if I want to order more than 1 item?
The difficulty of the item and the amount you want will impact the amount of time it takes me to complete your order. When I reach out to get your order, we can talk more specifically about timeline to make sure it fits your needs! I don't start offering discounts on multiple items until 7 or more items.
